Name that Classic Song

August 27, 2018

Dear Readers,

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bVCoGNIZMR0

This is a live recording of a 60s classic that I liked to play in my Box Office Concerts, but I never got around recording it in my 150 song OUTSIDE THE BOX set of 9CDs – now streaming everywhere.

Can you name it, and the group that made if famous?

See what you think, vote thumbs up, and share if you like.

My youtube channel is TomHendricksMusea

Quizzical Question for this Quarter (of the month)

August 28, 2013

The answer to, and winner (if any) for, our last contest question of:
Star Wars, the classic sci-fi film was the first to really merge film and film merchandising. No film had done that, like that, that had gone before. This week’s question is a multiple choice. Which TWO of these was not manufactured and sold as Star War merchandise?
1. R2D2 Cookie Jar. 2. Chewbacca Mug. 3. Ewok Village Action Playset. 4. Talking Yoda Doll with Pull String. 5. Kellogg’s C3PO’s breakfast cereal. 6. “May the Force Be With You”, dog tags. 7. Darth Vader Roller Skates. 8. Princess Leia Fashion Doll with outfits (sorta like a sci-fi Barbie).
IS (according to the book “Star Wars – From Concept to Screen to Collectible”)
4. Talking Yoda Doll with Pull String, and 8. Princess Leia Fashion Doll.
We had no eligible winner. Seems the force, … well you know the rest. I don’t dumb down so please wise up.

Where do these 2 RULES come from?
“If you wear a costume that includes a replica weapon, please keep it attached to the costume. Don’t draw it or aim it.”
