Old tin Moon
falls branch to branch
Clatter! Clatter!
What a ruckus!

We landed on
the Sea of Vapors,

Knock on My Door (poem)

There was a knock on my window …
“Who is it?” “The Moon.”
I said, “Come in.”
It said, “No thank you.”

There was a knock on my roof …

in the ceiling for you
but it would let in
rain and snow too.

This is a puzzle
what to do
me in my house
outside the Moon! …

3 Moon Poems

October 20, 2013

What will my Moon poem
be about tonight?
How will it inspire me
when it lights up the sky?
What will I say?
What will I write?
———-
If this side of the Moon
does this much to us,
what can we expect
from a far side affect?
———–
may I have
another bowl
of Moon?
