Poems of Love

August 19, 2017

You’re mad at me
but your eyes falter
there’s still enough love
to get us through

words stuck
in her throat
she hesitated …
he is lost.

I would look out the tower window
and smile at the handsome young men
who crossing by would wave to me.
(Inspired by Tsang Chih , 6th c.)

Her touch
like a painter’s brush
swept across my arm.

why is your head
There are no stars
on the ground.

now each step
we take together
makes our bound
that much stronger

The Sadness in Romance (5 poems)

March 11, 2017

Sometimes poems have to cover the sadness in romance too.

Like a mirror
in the dark
waits for light
I …

Oh dewdrop
that only sparkles under the sun.
What a quandary that that same heat
takes you away from me.

If you love some one
that makes you feel at ease
yet worries you all the time …

you don’t mean
a thing you say
and if you did
you’d change your mind.

the Moon tonight
is just as far
away as ever.

Love Poem: Name a River

January 14, 2017

Name a river…
That’s the one.
You and I
sailing along,
the stars are bright,
the moon is creamy,
eyes full of love,
thoughts dancing,
floating along,
watching the wake,
pass and move on
Our love remains.
The world’s a song.

3 Love Poems

I don’t know why
she loves me
Who am I
to disagree

Danger! Danger! Danger!
there’s a danger to your heart
when you are so vulnerable
and you’ve lost someone you love

Summer of love
Winter of discontent

Love Poems (4)

May 31, 2014

had I
not been in love
I would have passed
the flowers by

the Lord
has a sword
and the Lady
a baby

Love is only pain and sorrow
yesterday, today, and tomorrow.
One door in and no way out.
Only pain to sing about

the Match
met the Candle …
true love!
