COLD

1. Just like that King Lear, I’m left with a fool,
half blinded and all alone, stumbling through.

2. I see a land of shadows under a pitch black sky,
and a river of darkness on a rainy night.

It’s a cold cold night, mighty cold.
I’m lost and alone, mighty cold.

Help me please, I’m on bended knee.

3. Oh should I stay here, should I run away,
should I seek shelter and try to wait?

It’s a cold cold night, mighty cold.
I’m lost and alone, mighty cold.

Help me please, I’m on bended knee.

Videos

March 9, 2019

Videos? Maybe it’s time to give them a rest and get back to the audio, the music!

When you have to spend thousands to make a video, that means 99% of musicians can’t have careers. It’s a way to keep the music corporate, generic, and bland. TeXas Video Showdown, the worst video ever made, on purpose; protests all this and the fact that only 3 men control the music industry (CEO’s from Warners, Sony, Universal) When was the last time you heard a musician protest anything in the music business?

What if you are a great musician, but you don’t want to spend 100 thousand on a video?
What if you are a great musician but don’t like teen pop that always sounds the same?
What if you are a great musician but you don’t support the 3 CEO’s that control the music business?

Cello, new song demo and video

May 4, 2018

Dear Reader,

My new music video for my song “Cello, A Love Story”,
is now posted on my youtube channel. There is some art to fit too.

This is a rough demo, not a studio recording like my 9 cds.

To fit the words, I played my guitar like a cello – all low notes! See what you think.

Headphones are best. PS, recorded live, no auto tuning here!

CELLO
(c) Tom Hendricks 2018

1.

I was caught off guard, reading some books one day
When I heard next door, someone began to play.
Cello practice there. She played some scales to start.
Then after a pause, she played a piece by Bach.

Chorus

First she played it sweet like a Siren sings
Then she played it rough like a stormy sea
Passion in her bow as her cello rang.
Passion in my heart, not too far away.

(guitar lead, then repeat chorus )

2.
Music shows the soul. Its more than skill or rote.
When she strums the strings, feelings in every note.
(I) listen when I can, don’t want to miss her play.
(I) really have to find some way to meet some day.

Chorus (repeat).
