Video, All the Birds in the World

February 4, 2018

Just posted a youtube video minutes ago, of a very happy keyboard song. I’ve been writing a massive amount of music, mostly on guitar with a break on the piano, and this little 5 chorder came out with a lot of spirit and joy.

Now imagine a sky with all the birds and listen.

Want to end poverty in the US without spending a penny? Here’s how it might happen.

Good news! Your state has been selected in the regional lottery.
Your state will receive 50 billion dollars in a Community Bank Account. That money is never spent but it helps the state in two ways.

1. The INTEREST goes to ending poverty in the state by empowering the poorest areas to improve.
2. The capital is available for LOANS to businesses in that state. This may be further used to end poverty by being limited to small business and personal loans only.

What’s next?
The state will make a list of the main centers of poverty in the state. They will:

1. Determine a level of annual income or less, that defines poverty. 2. Determine the number of communities in poverty, and make a list.
Most likely there will be entire rural counties, and certain neighborhoods in larger towns and cities.
3. Take the first month’s interest on the 50 billion, and give it to the first name on the list. Next month the second name, etc. When you finish with the first round. Start again at the top, and continue forever!
4. The community (rural county, or city neighborhood), takes the interest they receive and spends it to improve the entire community.
5. Before the community gets the money, they should make a plan on how they will spend the money, how they will budget the money they get. This record, plus any receipts for expenditures, can be reviewed by a state committee, to check to see that the money was well spent. If it was not, the state can stop the program for that community. So there are checks and balances.
6. When the poverty line improves across the poorest areas, more communities may be added to the list.

Willie Griffin’s Song, “I Noticed” and video.

November 22, 2017

Recently I made and posted a new video on youtube that spotlights a song by Willie Griffin. It was released on my 12 By 12 record label (mid 80s). More about his song later. But first some background.

Willie Griffin is a sensation now for record collectors. There are two reasons why.
He wrote great songs, and when he recorded them, his guitar was waaaaay out of tune!.

That and the fact that he released so few records, make each one highly desirable. A 45 recorded by him, “I Love You”, went for $887.77 a year ago, with 17 bidders driving up the price.

With all this interest, I thought I’d share the song he put on one of my co-op record company albums. For each album, we had 12 musicians/groups who recorded 12 songs. Then we assembled all the recordings on one LP.

Each group paid 1/12 of the cost and got 1/12 of the records made – 500 copy limited release. That’s why the name 12 By 12.

The youtube video I made is for Griffin’s song and recording ‘”I NOTICED”. It, like his others on youtube, is a great song with that terrible out of tune guitar.

Hear the song, see the cover, and decide for yourself, before all the rare copies are scooped up by collectors..

Then go hear his other songs on youtube:
“I Love You.”
“Where There’s Smoke There’s Fire.”

TeXas Video Showdown hits 3,000

August 10, 2017

Dear Reader,

My musical protest against the 3 CEOs that control so much of music, and for all the rest of the world, has reached another milestone. 3,000 views.
Come view it and help raise awareness. Give me a thumbs up too – that means lifting a finger – literally! Here’s more.

We are told, year after year, to only talk about, support, and buy music from the same 6 or so teen pop stars. The real story is one the music media won’t dare tell you. Music is falling fast, 1% of musicians make 70% of the money, and everyone else is so uninformed that they don’t even know that it’s going on. Yet everyone does know that music is dull, radio is awful, concerts are a rip off, music media never covers anyone really different, and there is never news of anyone against all this! That’s why the musicians in Dallas are against it, and why you never hear about that either!
