Poems of Love

August 19, 2017

You’re mad at me
but your eyes falter
there’s still enough love
to get us through

words stuck
in her throat
she hesitated …
he is lost.

I would look out the tower window
and smile at the handsome young men
who crossing by would wave to me.
(Inspired by Tsang Chih , 6th c.)

Her touch
like a painter’s brush
swept across my arm.

why is your head
bowed?
There are no stars
on the ground.

now each step
we take together
makes our bound
that much stronger

More Quatros (the 4+ word poems)

QUATROS

What is a QUATRO. It’s a new type of very very short poetry that usually compares two things, in a haiku way, packing a lot of meaning in a very small amount of words.
Most quatros have a comparison of two things, and behind that comparison is a 2nd deeper meaning. – Tom Hendricks

black – gray – white – ?

in a world
of constant strangers…

the girl’s
got bounce!

happiness
that is attached to nothing

good writing,
bad reading!

a thief
in the darkness …

white fog,
black rock

Can plants be enlightened
or are they already?
… and if so
why aren’t we?

Kansas is
next to Oz.

lighting one candle
with another
as the Moon rises
in the sky

Quatros – A new sampling

===============

more like lightning
than a lit candle.

the Big Bang
is a clown car.

there are stars
above the clouds.

Blue girl or
just the light.

Now
soup

snowflake
in the sun

Above our heads
a crown of stars

in the wake
of the Moon

The parents braced,
“Release the children!”

Crop of Lightning
