Dear Readers,

Somewhere along the line, I began to collect tins- decorative tins, English tins, collectible tins, all kinds of tins. Living in an efficiency apartment, a small efficiency, they began to take up room, then more room, then THE room.

Lately I’ve been able to go through them, save favorites and put aside those I could part with. Turned out there were about 2-3 hundred in all sizes that I could part with – without taking away any favorites.

I placed them on the floor, and invited neighbors in to fill a bag or two of any favorites they wanted to keep.

Six did. That was fun, but it still left me with quite a few.

Recently when I was in the Salvation Army Store, I noticed that on their shelves, they had ONE tin. So I thought to myself, they are going to have a few more if I have anything to do with it.

Today, after taking down the art work to CD #8 to the recording studio, I stopped by the Salvation Army receiving dock, and unloaded the car. It had a trunk and back seat full of tins. Turns out there were about 140 of all sizes.

NOW the Salvation Army has 141 tins! Can’t wait to see them on the shelves!
