[Two Poems for my Writings in Science sci-fi novel anthology]

I’m working on
my time machine
You’d think by then
I’d have it fixed!

He held a blueprint
in his hands
displaying white lines
on a field of blue
that crinkled when adjusted
a merry noise,
not quite square
his arms too wide
with lots of arrows
pointing to numbers
and symbols and squiggles
that he contended
contained the physics
of all things existent.
