Poems written in late October 2011
Comments welcome.

POEMS

1
Their actions were
alien to me
like watching players
playing a game
where you don’t know the rules
and nothing makes sense.

2. (Kid’s poem)
no need to worry
no need to worry
when the full Moon starts to fade.

no need to worry
no need to worry
it’ll come back another day.

3.
Light
sprinkles down from the street lamp.
The sky
is salted with stars.

4. (Vision poem)
the sand turned to stone
and the stone turned to a chapel.
rain fell from the clouds
and grew doors of wood.
the sun broke out
and melted the sand
into clear panes
the rays passed through.
and lit the interior
like a candle at dusk.

SAYINGS

The media should cover the issues of the 99%
instead of the scandal of the 1%.

This is not a good Renoir. It’s a palette with a signature.

Musea Art Contest for week of 10/24/11

October 25, 2011

The answer to, and winner (if any) for, our last contest question of:
This first musical conductor (before him it was usually the first violinist or organist) actually died from conducting! Name him and tell how conducting music, did him in!
IS: Jean-Baptiste Lullly (1632-1687). Instead of a small baton he used a 6 foot long staff that he banged on the ground for the beat. He hit his foot, it became gangrenous, and he died two months later.

There were no correct eligible answers. I’m going to have to count you out, 1 and a two and a three and a four! I don’t dumb down, so please wise up!

Now on to a new Q.: Win a copy of my NEW cd CALLED ‘30′! – (first anti-band CD) or my NEWER cd CALLED ‘NEXT”(‘06) or my NEWEST cd CALLED ‘THIRDS” (May ‘07) or my MORE NEWEST cd Called “FOUR-TH” ‘08 or my Just RELEASED MOST NEWEST cd CALLED ‘5-TH’(Nov.’09)( one of the 5 CD set). Hunkasaurus.com (has them all plus videos and more) if you are the first to E-MAIL ME AT THIS ADDRESS: tom-hendricks @ att.net(remove blanks of course) with the correct answer to this art question.

FINE PRINT: The CD prize is only available to those with mailing addresses in the US. Foreign winners will have to settle for the miniscule fame alone, and the satisfaction of a job well done. But don’t forget you can listen to all the music on the website, whether you won or lost – and I’d be glad if you did!

This writer wrote the first self help book. Name the writer and the title of the book. Good Luck!
