This Week’s Poems

May 30, 2010

Here’s some new poems written within a week or so

In the moonlight
we are all moths

Why is that waterfall
always so angry,
always roaring
never ending?

A nature of madness
with emotions bubbling
always roaring
never ending.

If she loved,
no one knew,
no one came
to call

The Moon,
Me, and My Shadow –
We, three
began to sing !!!

Conceptual art can be anything, even bad art.
There’s a difference between making a movie and manufacturing one.
These works are all plays!
Lady, that’s not a purse, that’s luggage!
Jack Frost wanted to marry but there was always a chill in his relationships.

Musea Art Contest 5/24/10

May 24, 2010

The answer to, and winner (if any) for, our last contest question of:

This art theory suggests that there was a major science development in the late 1420’s and early 1430’s that allowed painters to cheat. From then on this trade secret allowed artists to trace portraits and still life subjects. Almost overnight painting went from cartoony, to ultra realism. Name the art theory and the pair that created it.

The Hockney-Falco thesis, by Charles Falco, an expert in optics, and the celebrated artist David Hockney. For more info see Hockney’s book or
