Poetry: She Tried to Jump the Bell

Two poems of mine that show the charm of repetition

She tried to jump the bell
She tried to jump the bell
but her toe caught
and she did not
make it across – she fell!//
She tried to jump the bell
She tried to jump the bell
but her toe caught
and it hurt a lot
and it took a heavy toll.

Hear the moonbeams,
hear the moonbeams,
hear the moonbeams
as they rain against the tin.
