The idea is simple:

There is a solution to the jobs problem and it could quickly put hundreds of thousands of people back to work. It is not pro left or right. It is not from any corporation, it’s outside the government control, it’s totally voluntary, and helps all with little sacrifice from anyone.

National Hiring Day #3 is suggested for May 19, 2011. This is a day that corporations are encouraged to hire new employees. Corporations are called on to put patriotism first and help their country in hard times. Those corporations that cannot hire, are asked to stop firing for that month.

National Hiring Day #2 was suggested for March 15,2011. This is a day that corporations are encouraged to hire new employees. Corporations are called on to put patriotism first and help their country in hard times. Those corporations that cannot hire, are asked to stop firing for that month. The day was suggested by the 18 year old Dallas art and media zine Musea.

But even though you may watch the news on many news shows, websites, papers, magazines, and other outlets,  you haven’t heard of National Hiring Day. Why?

Why indeed!  All I can say is, here are just a few of almost 100  media outlets that – though they talk about jobs and the economy every single day – would not talk about National Hiring Day.  Local or national – doesn’t matter, won’t talk about it.  Conservative or Liberal – doesn’t matter, won’t talk about it. Shows that specifically talk about  the media and media issues – won’t talk about it.
